Admittedly it is "second class", but still normally delivered within 3 days, which should be quick enough for all but the most impatient wargamer.
I have been very happy with 2nd Edition BLB. The new one seems to focus on a part of the era in which I am less interested. There is no description of it's salient features so I am reluctant to pre order. I'm with you Shagnasty. To pay that much for a campaign for which I have no figures or interest seems a waste. That even allows for paying for packing time. I don't have a problem with this approach to the rules- the particular focus is my main interest as well and there is enough flexibility to allow me to play WSS and GNW if I want to- but Gildas Facit is right, the postage charge is a rip off and has certainly put me off buying, even with the pre-order discount.

Then he began to advance his infantry in the centre whilst we exchanged artillery fire. We weren't quite sure what to make of the rules as we liked some elements of them but had a real concern that something wasn't right. Obviously the order mechanism provides some interesting challenges especially if your dice rolling is as unpredictable as mine and some of the period elements made the game interesting platoon vs rank firing and it was clear that they would suit a multiplayer game more easily than Maurice.
