ClamWin Antivirus Free. It seems like SE has come a long way in the last few months I've tested Comodo on Server I can say it installs and runs fine. I contacted Comodo several months ago and specifically asked if I could run this software in a business environment. They wrote back and said yes but, I didn't keep that email so I guess I don't really have any proof that you can.

Even worse, I can't think of a single decent reason why I didn't keep that email. The downside to ClamAV is that it doesn't scan for viruses in realtime it's scan on demand or scan on schedule only. Which depending on your point of view may or may not be better on a server. I run clamav yes you have to schedule it and no it's not real time, but I've still found it to be a good solution despite it's down sides. You don't need an email from them, their website and license clearly state that running in a business environment is allowed - it is, in fact, their entire business model.

They make Comodo specifically to run in business environments in the hopes of you buying their management system. I am not sure how many desktops you are running, but keep in mind that MSE is only free for businesses up to 10 users.

Once you get over that you're supposed to go to Forefront. We are currently using E-Trust and it has been terrible for years. We keep getting strung along by the "next versions improvements" and they resistantly fail to meet our needs. Silly politics preventing a global change of AV. Is it ten named users or ten installs? Because ten named users could easily be ten desktops, ten laptops and three servers. Which ever you chose, you will have to read the terms you accept because most of them will tell you that you cannot use them in a business environment.
