Windows vista hard drive partition disappeared




















I have an IBM notebook which came with vista home basic pre-installed. After running for almost six months. My windows got some problems due to which I had to run a recovery disk. After running a recovery disk, although OS has been restored to original, my D: is missing. It's showing the only c: to me now. I have checked in BIOS also.

The commands did not quite open as you suggested as I am using Windows 7 so, for example, "run as administrator" was not needed nor did it appear as an option, however the "do you want to make changes In Disk Management, the sector appears a GB partition on disk 0 but right clicking just brings up "help" as an option as it does with a couple of other partitions.
