After you click save, you can test your contact group by sending a new email to your list of contact emails. Click on the small arrow next to the blue New contact button and select New group from the drop-down menu. When the dialog box opens, type in the name of the contact group that you want to create. You can type in the group content in the description field, then click on Create. Type in the email addresses or names of the contacts you want to add to the email group. On Outlook, open a new email message and type in the body and subject.
In the To field, instead of typing in mail addresses, start typing the group ID. What if you want to add a new email contact or change the group ID of an existing group? Just open Outlook and type a new message. The contact group tab will then open, and you can add new members or remove members from the existing group easily!
Note : This process remains largely unchanged irrespective of the platform you use with Outlook. An Office group allows team members to access emails sent to one address from a shared mailbox. For example, a project team that shares a group email address is a Microsoft Office group. Anyone who sends an email to the team can send it to the shared mailbox of the Office group.
A PLC is very similar to other Microsoft groups. It comes with a shared mailbox and calendar, shared document library, and OneNote Notebook.
The notebook is designed for educators and includes templates and lots of resources that provide ideas and assistance. Creation of PLC groups is not supported in the new Outlook on the web.
Creating PLC groups is now only available on Teams. If you want to create a PLC group, you can still do it in Teams or by switching to the classic version of Outlook on the web while it's available. Existing PLC groups are not affected, can be accessed from Outlook on the web as usual, and used as you have always done.
This change only affects new PLC groups. Create an Outlook. Add and remove group members in Outlook. Join a group in Outlook. Schedule a meeting on a group calendar in Outlook.
Delete a group in Outlook. Watch a short video about creating a group to be used as a company email address.
Select Create. Fill out the group information: Group name : Create a name that captures the spirit of the group. Open the Outlook mobile app. Select Groups from the folder pane.
Tap Create. Tap Add. You'll see a welcome mail in your newly created group inbox.
